Eddie Aungst was a Special Officer with the Riverdale Police Dept. for over 36 years. His service to
the police dept. and community was immeasurable. Eddie would volunteer his time for special events
such as the summer concerts, parades, street fairs and other ceremonies. In addition Eddie assisted
the police dept. with traffic details, prisoner transport, supplemental patrols and was the court officer
during municipal court sessions. His professionalism, knowledge, courtesy and especially his friendship
will be missed. All that knew him loved him. The police dept. had a plaque made in his honor pictured
here, which hangs in borough hall outside the courtroom.
